Many local, state and federal agencies are involved in the permitting and approval process including:

• Levy County Commission
• Florida Department of Environmental Protection
• Florida Department of Transportation
• Southwest Florida Water Management District
• Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
• U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will review the proposed King Road Mine and prepare a report about wetlands in the project area. The report is called an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). For more information on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers meetings, visit www.kingroadeis.com.
