Press ReleaseNovember 30, 2009

Jeff Harris, plant manager for the King Road Mine, was one of six members of the Levy County Schools Foundation (LCSF) who attended one of several regional meetings organized by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. The CFEF provides a forum for the exchange of information and development of resources for school education foundations in order to enhance public education at the local level. Through the collaborative effort of its members, the Consortium successfully advocated for the creation of the School District Matching Grant, which has been funded for the past six years. The Levy Schools Foundation will receive $12,045 from the School District Matching Grant for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Harris, right, has been a member of the LCSF since being appointed to the board in 2008.
